چکیده

The effect of tungsten alloying on the elastic properties B2-NiAl at low-temperature and high-temperature distribution W atoms sublattices. By means exact muffin-tin orbitals method in conjunction with coherent potential approximation, constants C 11 ,C 12 44 , Young's modulus E, shear G, Cauchy pressure values, G/B ratios are calculated. Using phenomenological criteria correlation between ductility solution phases, it has been shown that addition could yield improved for both types alloys. It is established Al sublattice, there a loss mechanical stability decrease increasing concentration. In alloys Ni sites unique combination occurs: to enhancement, simultaneous increase E content observed. differences behavior different NiAl sublattices analyzed by calculating density electronic states. Keywords: NiAl, elements, tungsten, properties, ductility, first-principles calculations.

Study of elastic and piezoelectric properties of two-dimensional hexagonal III-V binary compounds: First-principles calculations

In this work, using plane wave method in the framework of density-functional theory, we calculated clamped-ion and relaxed-ion elasticity, stress and strain piezoelectric independent coefficients for seven stable combinations of honeycomb monolayers XY (X:B,Al,Ga,In ; Y:N,P,As,Sb). The coefficients calculations by two methods of density functional perturbation theory (DFPT) and finite differenc...

First-principles characterization of Ni diffusion kinetics in -NiAl

First-principles density functional theory calculations are performed to examine five postulated diffusion mechanisms for Ni in NiAl: next-nearest-neighbor NNN jumps, the triple defect mechanism, and three variants of the six-jump cycle. In contrast to most previous theoretical work, which employed empirical interatomic potentials, we provide a more accurate nonempirical description of the mech...
